We are altogether twelve students and three mentors, these students are divided into two groups of six students. The teams are called the Blackhawks and the Whitehawks (2218-B and 2218-A). The Blackhawks are composed mostly of new members, however, always remains a student with experience in charge, in addition, the Whitehawks, being composed mostly of members with more experience, help new students. Students may be on the team until they graduate from grade twelve. We have a parent committee and a student committee, where the opinions of the parents are considered as those of the students.

Mentor
"I started as a Avionics Technician for the Atlantic Fleet, US Navy. Then,
I worked as a Metrology Lab Manager at B&C Calibration (1994-2000) and at
Hilton Engineering (2000 to 2004). Since then, I’ve been working at Lilly del Caribe
as a Supervisor of Maintenance and Utilities and programming and web-designing
in my spare time since 1995."

Mentors
Mentor & Math teacher
"I cooperate
coordinating activities and attend the competitions and meetings that the team
celebrates at school.
Also, I support them while they work after their classes or on Saturdays. I
was captivated by Robotics, the extraordinary work that our students do in that
team."
Maritza Martínez López
Mentor & 9th and 11th grade Science
teacher
"Together with Prof. Martínez, we coordinate with the administration
and the parents of the students of the team the logistics in the school when we are
the ceed of a competition.Spending so many hours with the students, watching them
arm and disarm the robot until they reach perfection, see their frustrations and joys,
are the things that keep me here as a mentor and that I enjoy as a teacher."
