We are altogether twelve students and three mentors, these students are divided into two groups of six students. The teams are called the Blackhawks and the Whitehawks (2218-B and 2218-A). The Blackhawks are composed mostly of new members, however, always remains a student with experience in charge, in addition, the Whitehawks, being composed mostly of members with more experience, help new students. Students may be on the team until they graduate from grade twelve. We have a parent committee and a student committee, where the opinions of the parents are considered as those of the students.
How we work?
Why us?
Our program provides opportunities to develop skills in STEM fields. It helps the students
develop their senses of planning, design and construction. Our members come with little
experience in the branch of robotics but with our mentors, we teach and help our new
members to build a robot for the skills that we participate. We also find any information that is
unknown to the team so we can reach our final goals. Our small community provides a sense of
companionship and socialization. A great example is one of our students called Alondra.
"Before entering this club, I was very quiet, but now I can’t keep quiet, because I feel very
comfortable". We offer a pleasant space for our members and the opinions of all are taken into
consideration regardless of how long they have been in the club. We have the necessary
amenities, offering a lounge exclusively for the robotics club. We also have the latest devices
for the optimization of our robots, and we provide tools and all the necessary parts. Our team
always gives the best of ourselves to have better opportunities to improve in the area that we
are passionate about.
